Thai letterform designer and type researcher, based in Bangkok. I trained in graphic design before falling, completely, for the letter itself. What began as logo lettering turned into rubbings of temple stone, then into palm-leaf manuscripts read with a magnifier, then into a master's thesis on the value of the unrefined stroke. ฉันเรียนออกแบบกราฟิกก่อนจะตกหลุมรักตัวอักษรอย่างเต็มหัวใจ สิ่งที่เริ่มจากการเขียนโลโก้กลายเป็นการถูลอกหินในวัด แล้วเป็นการอ่านใบลานด้วยแว่นขยาย จนกลายเป็นวิทยานิพนธ์ว่าด้วยคุณค่าของเส้นสายที่ยังไม่ถูกขัดเกลา
Today I keep an open archive — every sketch, trace and experiment filed and shared — and release the typefaces that grow out of it, some free, some licensed to fund the next study. The work is slow.
